This ecolodge in Egypt was constructed with natural materials in accordance to Siwan tradition. It is located 16km away from Siwa city, overlooking the famous White Mountain, the Ghâry Lake and a beautiful palm grove. The rooms at Taziry Ecolodge are spacious and have private bathrooms. Small windows capture the wind and eliminate the need for air conditioning. Oil lamps and candles are used for lighting. Taziry is 4km from Temple of the Oracle and 12km from the Bir Wahed hot spring. A tourist office and internet point can be found in the centre of Siwa. Some leisure activities include camel safaris, bird watching and stargazing.

Important Information

How to get to Taziry by car from Cairo:
Drive 120 km on the Cairo – Alexandria desert road until the junction of the Alamein highway.
Continue 132 km on the Alamein highway till the North Coast International highway. Follow the North Coast International highway for 3.165 km until the TAM oil Gas station 15 km before Marsa Matrouh. After 4.25 km turn left onto the Barrani – Salloum International highway. Travel for 5. 295 km and turn left on the Siwa highway, continue until the Safi Natural Water Plant.Turn right travel for 6. 15 km. Look for the Taziry sign and follow the successive signs until you reach the resort.

How to get to Taziry by bus:
Via Marsa Matrouh:
From Cairo use the West Delta Bus to Marsa Matrouh. Continue with West Delta Bus to Siwa.
Via Alexandria:
There are 3 buses (West Delta Bus ) from Alexandria to Marsa Matrouh.

Please note that there are no Gas stations, supermarkets or restaurants on the road from Marsa Matruh to Siwa.

Transfer service from Siwa to the hotel must be arranged prior to departure.

Some nationalities can get an entry permit stamped into their passport upon arrival at the airport. Please check your visa requirements before travelling.
